🍃🍃 MINT LEMONADE 🍃🍃
(From The Ayurveda, Vegan Kitchen Cookbook)
*best for Pitta's and Kapha's
WHAT YOU NEED: ✅
1/2 cup coconut sugar
Water - some
Zest and juice of one lemon
3 large sprigs of mint
Juice of 2-3 limes
Juice of 1 orange
HOW TO MAKE:
Bring 1/4 cup water, sugar and lemon zest to boil.
Boil, stirring constantly for 5 mins, remove from heat.
Steep mint leaves for 20 - 30 minutes, then remove the leaves.
Add in the lime, lemon and orange juices and the salt, leave to cool if not already.
This is your concentrate that lasts up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
Add about 1/2 cup of concentrate to glass, add water, stir and voila mint lemonade. 🍈🍋🍹
Add some fresh grated ginger at the same time as lemon zest, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
substitute mint for fresh ginger, add one drop of Lavender oil, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamon serve warm.

Garnish with ginger, lemon, lime or mint :) x
